(Whatever happened to the other 41)
Now that’s been cleared up, its time to move on to the actual content of this transmission. I’m currently on holiday in
Today we visited the nearby town of
Cake, nuff said.
It's people!
Ye most wicked chess board ever.
“Nevermind the noodle mooch, here come the “Epic Ice cream Wars!!!” Yes, you heard me, Epic Ice cream Wars… This wasn’t an all-out war as per say, but more of an aggressive feud over customers by two Ice cream-parlors, right across a narrow street from each other. Nothing here had changed in 6 years. The shouting and Ice cream juggling went on for hours, resulting in hilarity. I’ve got a few videos of this.
"Ice Cream man" in a bowlthing.
More Ice cream.
An Ice cream stall.
Ice cream juggling, FTW!!!
Other notable things were the T-shirts, sold by some small one-man shops, with some rather funny slogans: “665 – Neighbour of the Beast” and “One Tequila, Two Tequila, Three Tequila, Floor” and the fairground I visited just before we left.
Chapter 69
Hello, and welcome once again to “The chronicles of
The cathedral on the hill in the middle of Rovinj...
And the numerous mediterranean houses surrounding it.
The actual town.
The boat first circled around a plethora of islands taking on all the passengers from all the various hotels and app / camping areas lining them; before setting off towards Lim Fjord, which in itself is wrongly named as Croatia doesn’t actually have fjords, unlike Norway, and so was more of a gorge. There we had lunch.
After a delicious meal onboard the ship, many people went swimming, jumping off of the side of the ship, and even from the second floor of it, almost 3 meters high. I, on the other hand had had quite a lot to eat, (12 mussels and 3.5 hamburgers), and I opted to stay on the ship and rest for awhile.
He's flying!
Or not...
Shploooosh!
When we set off again, we were treated to a good bout of musicising (not sure if that is even a word) and yodelling. Many people took to some light drinking, but after half a glass of wine and my second sip of schnapps, I decided I’d better stop. ^^
Yodelling...
At around 9pm we went to Rovinj itself to have dinner, came across a "yacht de la fucking huge" (please excuse my French), and saw a master spray-artist doing some brilliant space themed paintings. We found our restaurant, one at which we had dined before, and I spotted the most hilarious name for a bar that I had ever seen, Caffe Bar "Molo Grande" Now, most people would fail to find this funny in any way, but since in Finnish “molo” is a slang word for a penis, and grande is… well, you catch my drift.
As a finale we saw a one-man band. Some dude had strapped a bass drum to a backpack rig so that every time that he kicked forward, the bass drum made a sound. To this he added a number of bells and horns on his other foot, a small amplifier on the top of the rig, to play a simple tune, a guitar in his hands, and a harmonica fixed close to his mouth on a metal holder. Unfortunately my camera died right before we saw this spectacle, and I couldn't take pictures.
This concludes the last episode in my two-part trilogy of “The chronicles of

Superb post!
Much better than that crap Olli took hours and hours writing and that you should certainly not comment on!
